Xing Yi Quan

Xing Yi Quan is a Chinese martial art made up of quick, elegant movements to achieve tremendous force. Sharing some traits with boxing, students use coordinated footwork to attack and defend at the same time. Regular practice provides benefits like increased confidence, muscle strength, and improved concentration.

Often credited to the legendary Chinese general Yue Fei, historians consider the 16th century martial artist Ji Longfeng to be Xing Yi’s earliest teacher. This makes it one of the oldest martial arts still practiced today. Due to its age, Xing Yi Quan has influenced many other martial arts like Bagua Zhang.
